Description of Exhibition: An invitational and juried exhibit of various mediums. Two and three-dimensional work and performance art is eligible. Open to all artists.
This exhibit is a homage to black and white art. Artists are to explore the many forms, resonances, and relationships of this monochromatic theme.
To Apply:
1. For two and three-dimensional works, take a low resolution image of your work, including any framing that may be on it on a separate image. Frames with damage, dirt, or scratched glass will not be accepted. Maximum size of 60” x 60” for two dimensional works. Maximum size of three dimensional works to be discussed in person due to space requirements. If any custom framing is needed for this show, please contact us for a framing discount.
2. For performance art, please send a video link of any past performances plus a one page proposal of your performance.
3. Email all information to Suzan Kostiuck, info@excellentframeworks.ca. Make sure to include “Black and White” in the subject line. Ensure title, size, medium, and price is included. Please note that we charge a 40% commission on works sold at Excellent Frameworks Gallery.
4. A description of the thematic exploration is to be included. Topics may include information about subject, technique, challenges…anything that relates to why the art was created. A short paragraph and up to a page in length is accepted.
